Ingredients
- Potato - 4
- Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 0.25 tbsp
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 1 twig
- Salt - to taste
- Water
Procedure
- Cut potato into medium sized pieces
- In a vessel, mix potato, turmeric, red chilli, coriander powders and salt
- Add water enough to cover the potato.
- Add 0.5 tbsp of oil
- Cover and cook till potatoes are cooked. It may take upto 10 minutes. We should be able to cut the potato with a spoon when it is rightly cooked. It should not become overcooked and mushy.
- Add rest of the oil, curry leaves and fry for another 10 minutes in low flame.
- Tasty potato mezhukkupuratti is ready to be served with rice or chappathi
