Ingredients
- Urd dal - 1 cup
- Toor dal - 3/4 cup
- Curry leaves - 2 twigs
- Garlic - 1 pod
- Pepper pod - 1.5 tbsp
- Tamarind - 1 small piece
- Oil - just to wet items from 1-5 in the pan
- Asfoietida - 1 tsp
- Chilli powder - 2 tbsp
- Salt - 2 spoon
Procedure
- Add items 1-5 in a dry pan
- Add oil just enough to wet the ingredients
- Roast the ingredients till urd dal become brown.
- Add red chilli powder, asafoetida and tamarind
- Switch off the stove immediately
- Powder the ingredients along with salt using a mixie. Powder as per your desired consistency
- Store it in an air tight container. This will last for many months.
