Ingredients
- Rice (Sona masoori rice / Raw rice / Pachari) - 3/4 cup
- Urd dal - 1/3 cup
- Toor dal - 1/3 cup
- Red chilli - 4 (or as per your taste)
- Grated coconut - 1/3 cup
- Onion - 1medium
- Green chilli - 2 (or as per your taste)
- Ginger - 1 inch piece finely grated
- Asafoetida / Kayam - 1 pinch
- Curry leaves - 1 twig
- Salt
Procedure
- Soak items 1,2,3 in separate vessels overnight. Chilli can also be kept in the water along with rice.
- Grind the above one after the other into smooth paste
- Cut onion, green chilli and ginger very finely.
- Add it to the mixture along with asafoetida, curry leaves and grated coconut
- Add salt and mix well
- Make dosa using this batter.
- Heat tawa; brush with oil; pour one laddle of batter and spread it around
- Drizzle little oil on top of the dosa
- Flip the dosa to the other side after 1 min
- Serve this yummy dosa with mulaku podi and oil
Note: There is no need to ferment this batter
